Courses

  • Pediatric Swallowing and Feeding modules
    Newly available open access online course for clinical therapists, prepared by the Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children Feeding team in 2010.
  • Wheechair seating assessment modules.
    The seating assessment series is designed to refresh basic principles required to complete wheelchair seating assessment. Developed in a paediatric setting, the content and framework presented is suited to all ages, to be used by community therapists to increase knowledge and enhance clinical reasoning skills.
  • Introduction to Knowledge Brokers.
    The process of linking evidence and clinical practice is called knowledge translation (knowledge transfer); the agents of change are knowledge brokers. This course is intended for pediatric clinical physical and occupational therapists. (2010)
  • Standardized assessments for pediatric therapists
    This course was last updated in May 2009.
  • Prescribing power mobility: Module 1 Assessment
    Introduces the use and application of a framework for access assessment specific to powered mobility. The hierarchy and rationale for selection of control site (body part) is outlined and terms used to describe different types of controls and switches are explained. (2008)
